Connections ----------- P1 and N are normally connected to the Live and Neutral of the 240VAC power supply but can be connected to an alternative power source. The D1/D2, S, ECL and ANG terminals are switched to connect to the P1 terminal by relays under control of the microprocessor. The S2 terminal is switched to connect to the T terminal by a relay under control of the microprocessor. D1 and D2 are the alternate minute pulses for the slave dial and are active for 6 seconds when energised. When advancing the slave to correct time (marche/arrêt light blinking), there is a 1 second gap between pulses. S2 & T are connected to produce hour and half-hour strike pulses. Each pulse is 0.25 seconds long and the pulses are 2 seconds apart. S is energised for the duration of hour/half-hour striking, starting coincident with the leading each of the first strike pulse (S2 & T connected) and ending 0.6 seconds after the trailing edge of the final strike pulse. Each hour strike occurs twice in the French style: on the hour and at 2m30s after the hour. A single strike pulse is generated at each half-hour. ANG is energised for 30 seconds three times a day to activate an Angelus (3 strikes, pause, 3 strikes, pause, 3 strikes, pause, 9 strikes) ringer. ECL (Eclairage Cadran) is energised twice a day (early morning and evening) to drive slave dial back illumination. Front Panel Controls -------------------- The 3 slider switches enable or programme the Angelus ringer, strike/silent feature and back-lighting. When set to programming mode, each data entry is activated by pressing the 'validation' button. Sonneries In programming mode, 2 times are set, the first to disable the hour strike (C indication on LCD) and the second to enable the hour strike. The default times are disable at 22:15, enable at 06:50. Eclairage Cadran In programming mode, 4 times are set, two switch-on times (A indication on LCD) and two switch-off times. The default times are on at 05:00, off at 08:00, on at 20:00 and off at 23:00.
